Vancouver Program – Project Management for Information Professionals

Project Management for Information Professionals

At the 2014 Annual Conference, SLA President Kate Arnold identified project management skills as a key competency for today’s information
professional.

While most of us are actively involved in project work, few possess formal training. This interactive workshop will introduce the key elements of
project management. Participants will leave with a solid understanding of how to set achievable goals, focus efforts, and assess outcomes.

Facilitator Jim Brosseau has worked for 30+ years in the high technology sector, as team leader, project manager, and director, and has personally
worked with more than 100 organizations over the past ten years with a goal of improving team effectiveness.
