Beginning January 2013, remote (off-campus) access to online resources licensed by UBC Library will no longer be available via myVPN.  Remote access to all these resources will continue to  be available via EZproxy. EZproxy works behind the scenes to deliver the page that prompts you to enter your Campus Wide Login/Library Barcode & PIN before connecting to a licensed resource such as databases, ebooks, online journals and articles, newspaper articles, and more.

The reason for this change is that the Library has greater security providing EZproxy as an access channel than it does with myVPN. Other UBC services available via myVPN will not be affected by this change.
