CSIS Employment Info Session at SLAIS (All Students)

Two representatives from CSIS will be on campus, specifically to meet with SLAIS students to share information about co-op opportunities in information management at CSIS. SLAIS students interested in future positions with CSIS after graduation are also invited to attend. Note that these opportunities are open only to Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada due to security clearance requirements.

Date and Location: Thursday, February 7 from 11am-12:30pm in the Trail Room in IBLC.

Light refreshments will be served.

The Information Management Division (IMD), Information Management/Information Technology Branch of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) has employment opportunities for university students enrolled in Masters of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) COOP program and in Masters of Archival Studies (MAS) and dual degree (MLIS/MAS) coop program.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates are not expected to possess a detailed knowledge of the information management environment in the Government of Canada. However, some general knowledge and experience in the information management field would be an asset. Candidates should possess good analytical, research and problem solving skills and be able to work well autonomously or in a team environment.
