Volunteers needed to learn to make vbook videos for children’s information book award project

To all students in all programs

Volunteers are welcome to join Professors Eric Meyers and Judi Saltman and learn how to make book videos and to create a video with a partner (or on your own) for the Vancouver Children’s Literature Roundtable Information Book Award finalists – shown at the October 18th Vancouver Children’s Literature Roundtable breakfast.

We are repeating the success of last year’s information book award videos – a crew of SLAIS student volunteers put them together with some guidance from Eric Meyers, Kay Weisman and myself last year.

So – if you wish to volunteer for this experience, email me directly at my email below and I will arrange a date in early September for an overview of how to make the video once a shortlist has been announced.

It’s a great skill for programming in libraries with kids and teens.

Cheers
Judi
